The Baby Boomers are in Trouble: And why should you worry about? (Part 2)
The baby boomers are in Trouble: And why should you worry about? (Part 2)
Baby Boomers are now at a world unlike anything we have ever thought’s. It is a world radically different than it was six months ago. We are exactly right in the middle of a perfect storm, as it no generation (and certainly no American generation of almost 80 million people) ever to face. Here’s a taste of what we’ll soon be up against (if we are not there already), and some ideas of what we can do about it.
• No Social Security
Can you afford to stop working forever? Your money go? It might very well when you start Social Security too early (like at the age of 62). I have a analysis for you on that you see if you have a chance to have a good decision when you have to start taking Social Security.
• Health Care Shortages
Medical research breakthroughs can make our body to work longer, but it is estimated that is about one third of the experienced nurses and hospital administrators in this country in the next 1-3 years to retirement, the creation of a great lack of care. You are burned out. And then the veteran physicians and specialists. They have all had them. They are tired of being hit by the health care system, they look for other ways to earn an income with much less wear and tear to be found. So who cares to take from us? (By the way, see my blog about hospitals in http://www.richardroll.com/2008/04/07/why-rr-says-stay-away-from-the-hospital/ if you want to know what the “new math” has performed the most medical care in hospitals and why you and your loved ones should anything you can possibly do to stay out of them). Many Baby Boomers are chronic disorders of one kind or another, so maintaining our health and health care affordable is to keep the priority issues for the future.
• Fight to the current standard of living through retirement
How do you keep up with the income you need to maintain your standard of living in retirement? A lot of Boomers, we want to continue to work on something, hopefully something they enjoy, but according to statistics, the odds stacked against them. How can a low-stress home-based business that work Anyway, if you do not? I’m on a few answers for this working group.
• Real Estate Investments that Do not Pay Back
Many Baby Boomers are over-invested in homes, many with two homes, some investment properties … Our equity has taken the runners, and I know you are wondering, “Is it ever again so it had come?” The answer is, probably not, in the appropriate time frame. It is not a happy answer, but at least I have an answer.
• risk of a global financial crisis
Is there a high risk of a global financial crisis as the Baby Boomers withdrawing money from mutual funds and 401 (k) start’s to move into other fixed-income asset classes?
• Global Competition />
• health care costs going up
health care costs for the Baby Boomers are twice as high as for younger people and on average not go anywhere, but in the future based on current trends. 85 million adults over 50 will have to do with cardiovascular disease, according to the 2015 U.S. Census. Your health care costs are on average four times higher than those for younger people.
• Unwise Government Spending
Our government has the choice to spend trillions of dollars of our money in ways not necessarily the best long-term interests of our generation, and even to wasting much of it, with a wanton damage to surrounding reminiscent of ancient Rome. Meanwhile, neglecting basic infrastructure issues in our society by blocking release of promising new drugs and treatments, so that people, instead of dying, not properly insure safety inspections of commercial aircraft, what they think? Who’s minding the store-your business? Or is it just to hold that the political elite in Washington are having their way with our money, as long as they keep their hands in the till?
• to cope with difficult challenges
With the combination of high divorce rates among baby boomers, the “sandwich generation” reality of dealing with stress, health effects, and the financial costs of caring for aging parents, while the accomplishment of challenging children, who often moved back into the family “nest,” old “nest egg” is not always what it might have been.
Are there strategies that can cope more easily, successfully? In fact, there ….
I’ve made a lot of research on these issues, and together a range of solutions and tools of the baby boomers need to succeed in the difficult years ahead. I have to focus my energies in the coming years, as all of us Baby Boomers as a substantial and vibrant life to live from now on, committed, going forward as well as the improvement of our physical, mental and spiritual health, and finally, leaving a more positive and heroic legacy for our children, our grandchildren, and for posterity, as individuals and as a generation in history.
